  There's a beach with a stinger net 50 minutes from the hostel, but be aware of high tight because there's a gap filling up with water. Go to the Djiru National park and watch out for cassowaries.

  Great hostel but need some clean up - nice wifi, close to wolleys, bws and beach. With pool, big kitchen and huge shower cabins.

  Eugh. This place was horrible. Dead insects in the bathroom, ants marching around and smelly toilets are just some of the things you have to look forward to. The fridges are so cold that food ends up freezing and the bins are swarmed with flies. In the bedroom, our bedding was covered in hairs and the mattress is around 30 years old and extremely thin. The hostel seems to be run by staff that turn up to the reception desk when they feel like it and fail to correctly book tours. Don't stay here.

  An absolutely amazing place. The staff and owners are some of the best people I have ever met. And by far this is one of the best hostels I have stayed in, in the world to date. Every time I am passing through I will stay there. The owners remember me even if 5 years have passed. I wish I had their memory! But I cannot rave about this place enough!!

  I enjoyed my stay at absolute backpackers. Staff and workers there are very friendly. We also got a free barbecue with our stay which I though was lovely! Couldn’t fault anything!
